This book is not a book about the arts of Black Africa: all the works that we book is completely new, as they belong to Swiss private collectors and their existence was unknown. This also works very outstanding and remarkably photographed quality. Classified by ethnic groups, the boards are guided by the author and accompanied by ethnographic notes. Preface by Jean LAUDE, author of numerous books and articles on the arts of sub-Saharan Africa and decisive thesis on the contribution of African cultures to contemporary art, in his preface analyzes the contribution of this work to the knowledge of the African world and, more generally, the importance of this type of documentation for research today. More than a hundred ethnic groups are represented in this album through objects held only in private collections.
