Description

Delfino Dinz Rialto conducted Oriental and African diplomatic-consular studies. In 1948, he moved to Salisbury – Central Africa – where he organized The African Art Expedition” and for ten years he accomplished travel across the continent in search of the few that remained was still the true Negro Art. After leaving Africa, he visited most of the islands of Melanesia and Polynesia on, especially New Guinea. In 1964 he settled in the northeast of Brazil and began a series of trips to the Amazon River and its tributaries; he visits the Andes, where he conducts research on civilizations Inca and pre-Inca and then passes through the lands of the ancient Maya, Aztec, etc. The merit of this explorer as his friends call him “new Marco Polo” is to always have everything alone without assistance of national and international organizations, at great sacrifice Twenty-five years of travel and research within three continents have allowed it to form the largest collection ever in Italy, Art of “primitive” peoples. The Municipality of Rimini, organizing the Museum in collaboration with Dr. Rialto, has the privilege to share the 600 works from the collection – which have never been exhibited before – the Italian and foreign audiences.
