Description
This beautiful catalog accompanying the exhibition “Dan, the inner eye“, organized by the African Muse Gallery Luc Bertier during Kaos – Parcours des Mondes, presents a set of thirty masks of the Dan region (Coast -d’Ivoire). Among them, a mask “gaegon” spirit hunter Kono from the former collection André Lhote and a mask “dea gla” circumcision guard. The catalog texts are written by Marie-Christmas Verger-Fèvre, a researcher attached to the Museum of Natural History.
