INITIATION RITES TO THE SENOUFO ( South-Mali)

Description

This book grew out of a training scenario in action research and a large number of field missions having as basis the unextinguished remember the first initiations lived in the village of Dioumaténé. Before starting their male children to the social, political and religious, the Senufo begin with a ritual inflict death. It is this experience which is described here with the background a bath in the original Senufo culture. The author not only offers a description of the universe initiation rites of the Senufo society, but also an analysis of their relevance in the context of crisis in the Malian education system.
